The Embassy of Japan, New Delhi, Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai and Kolotta are pleased to announce its association with CKGS Japan Visa Information & Application Centres in New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkotta. All applicants residing within the following jurisdiction and who wish to apply for Short Term Visa, Long Term Visa, Employment Visa, Medical Visa and Transit Visa can submit their applications at our application centre.

Jurisdiction for the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai

Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra

Jurisdiction for the Consulate-General of Japan in Kolkotta

Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal

This site provides information on procedures applicable to all Indian residents and foreign nationals, who wish to apply for following visa categories:
  • Short Term Visa - A stay of up to 90 days for tourism, business, attending conference, visiting friends/acquaintance, etc., that does not include paid activities
  • Long Term Visa - A stay of over 90 days for performing paid work (professor, journalist, researcher, engineer, etc.), to study, for training, etc.
  • Family Members of the Indians with Japanese Employment Visa
  • Medicial Visa
  • Transit Visa
For following cases, please submit your passport and complete application form at the Embassy of Japan, New Delhi directly according to the purpose of visit which must be specified by the applicant in the application form.
